If you’ve landed here, then I’m sure you already heard the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (TRDP) ended on December 31, 2018. Dental coverage is now available to you through the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP) during the next Federal Benefits Open Season.
Vision coverage is also available to you under FEDVIP. Retired uniformed service members and their families, and family members of active duty service men and women, are eligible to enroll in a FEDVIP vision plan if enrolled in a TRICARE health plan.
You can enroll in a FEDVIP dental and/or vision plan during the Federal Benefits Open Season, which runs from November 14 through midnight Eastern Time December 12, 2022. When you join a plan, your new coverage will be effective January 1, 2023.
